The Science

Venica ViTE© combines two technologies to analyse fluids.

 

Advance sensing: Identifies the structural fingerprint of molecules within the fluid.

High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC): A technique used to separate the key components in fluids in order to quantify and identify them. The current ‘gold-standard’ of laboratory testing.

The Venica ViTE© system represents a paradigm shift from the current methods of fluid analysis serving many global industries.

The Process

  1. Fluids placed in a ViTE© cartridge are analysed by ViTE©
  2. The data is uploaded to the cloud for analysis by Venica algorithms
  3. Results are delivered to any internet connected device in minutes

This is laboratory standard chemical and molecular testing in a portable device developed by world leading specialist Dr Greg Auner and his team at Wayne State University Laboratory of Biomedical Engineering. With accuracy at least equivalent, or superior to existing laboratory testing, this has the potential to be a massive market disruptor.

There is no equivalent system in the market.

What makes ViTE© different?

 

Instead of indirectly* detecting the analyte, ViTE© applies the use of a advance sensing fingerprint** which can detect it directly.

*Indirect detection uses technologies such as ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy (absorption spectroscopy) which uses refractive index measurements, evaporative light scattering, fluorescence, electrochemical and conductivity measurements.

**Combining advance sensing with liquid chromatography in a disposable fluidic cartridge provides definitive analyte detection so that real distinction can be achieved. This may also benefit the detection of unknowns while traditional HPLC requires the specific target that is being investigated.
